EXCELLENT Based on 33 reviews Persephone2024-02-02Verified Cute and Informative Though I don't consider thunderstorms a natural disaster and felt that the Watcher's Wisdom might scare kids more, the information provided was excellent and delivered in a way that kids will retain. There aren't many books out there that discuss topics like these in a way kids can easily digest. I can't wait to see more. Mike K2024-01-31Verified Entertaining way to teach Children Such a creative way to teach children about thunderstorms and lightning. Great illustrations and engaging story with a message of respecting the power of storms. Loved it. G. A. Kindle Customer2024-01-29Verified Parents and schools should encourage young kids to read this This is a fun, imaginative adventure storybook that teaches important lessons without preaching at young readers. The lessons are disguised in an engrossing, exciting story with charming characters that together will really charm kids while leaving their memory banks filled with keener intuition and facts for their thunderstorm safety. The illustrations are just as fun and well done as the text. If I had one suggestion for improvement it might be to have the kids picnic on higher ground and then ride their bikes to lower ground when the lightning storm begins. It happens the other way around here, and undoubtedly they are riding towards home when they leave their picnic. But the landscape could more profitably be designed for a safer path. Meanwhile, I like the inventiveness, the story, and the happy ending. Book Lojka2024-01-25Verified Storm Safety A great book teaching kids how to be safe in a storm. Many kids are scared of the thunder noise, and learning how to be safe can help ease that stress.Cute illustrations. ehowe2272024-01-19Verified fun little story to help kids with thunderstorms Fun little book with beautiful illustrations. Story is good for helping kids think about thunderstorms and adequately prepare. Good stuff. Anne U.2024-01-17Verified Engaging way to teach kids what actions to take during a thunderstorm This is the first of Tanya's disaster survival series for children that I've read. I don't put thunderstorms in the natural disaster category but this book is a marvelous guide for kids - in the form of a short story - on what to do in such an event. The illustrations are fabulous and the characters are adorable and engaging. I love the way it summed up steps to take at the end and rewarded kids with a cute donut badge. Buying it for my little niece! One small note: it might be good to tell buyers what age range the book is meant for; some of the language is a bit sophisticated for quite young readers but the overall tone and characters are clearly meant for that audience. M Greenman2024-01-15Verified Excellent training Every child needs to be prepared for certain events and lighting is one of those circumstances. Thunderbolt: A thrilling adventure for kids teaches kids the who, what, when, and where of all things lightning. The graphics are exceptional and kids will love the fun characters to learn from. EyeDoc2024-01-14Verified Nice summary at end Unlike other kids books I’ve read this one is perfect for kindle with illustrations AND text on same page. Nice pictures and important text about being safe. Very good summation at end stressing steps to take with thunderstorms.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
